Privacy Policy
Overview
CC Audio Player (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a web application that lets you stream and organize audio files stored in your own Google Drive. This Privacy Policy explains what information we access, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we access
When you sign in with Google, the App requests access to:
- Google Drive (read) — to list folders and audio files you choose to browse, and to stream those files for playback.
- Google Drive (app-created files) — to create and update a playlist sync file named
cc_audio_playlists.jsonin your Drive so your playlists persist across devices.
We do not request access to your Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, or other Google services.
How we use information
- To authenticate you with Google and keep your session active while you use the App.
- To display and play audio files from your Google Drive.
- To create, update, and sync playlists you build in the App.
- To operate a temporary audio proxy so media can stream securely in the browser.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or Drive contents with advertisers or data brokers.
Data storage
- On your device: A Google access token may be kept in browser
sessionStoragefor the duration of your session. Playlist copies may also be cached inlocalStoragefor offline resilience. - In your Google Drive: Playlist metadata is stored in
cc_audio_playlists.json, which you own and can delete at any time. - On our servers: Audio may briefly pass through our Cloudflare Worker proxy using your authorization token so the browser can play it. We do not permanently store your audio files or Google account contents on our servers.
Third-party services
The App uses Google Identity Services and the Google Drive API for sign-in and file access. Use of those services is also subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. Hosting and the audio proxy run on Cloudflare Pages/Workers.
Your choices
- You can disconnect your Google account from the App at any time using Disconnect.
- You can revoke the App’s access in your Google Account permissions.
- You can delete
cc_audio_playlists.jsonfrom your Drive and clear your browser storage to remove local playlist data.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
